The glorious world of Jane Austen is at last brought back to the big screen in all its romance, wit and emotional force in Pride & Prejudice. The classic tale of love and misunderstanding unfolds in class-conscious England near the close of the 18th century. Faithful to the setting and period of the beloved novel and filmed entirely on location in the UK, this is the first movie version of the story in 65 years. The novel is just GREAT, and I expect the movie to be of no less importance, given its cast: Keira Knightley .... Elizabeth Bennet Matthew MacFadyen .... Mr Darcy Brenda Blethyn .... Mrs Bennet Judi Dench .... Lady Catherine De Bourgh Rupert Friend .... Mr Wickham Tom Hollander .... Mr Collins Jena Malone .... Lydia Bennet Carey Mulligan .... Kitty Bennet Rosamund Pike .... Jane Bennet Talulah Riley .... Mary Bennet Donald Sutherland .... Mr Bennet Simon Woods .... Charles Bingley Jane Austen .... Author Lee Hall .... Screenwriter Deborah Moggach .... Screenwriter Joe Wright .... Director The movie is nominated for 4 Oscars and 2 Golden Globes... I think it's just awesome.... I'll try to watch it on a DVD or somehow, and I'll let u know my personal opinion.... Here are some shots:

Group: Medical Students Posts: 617 Member No.: 109 Joined: September 29, 2005	actually i like these kinds of movies ,they r rare but strong it's the kind of movies that show true love and romance because it's away from the noise of our modern life,we can see how one make effort and suffer just to deliver a letter to the one he loves and do every thing possible to please his lover not like now the love became a simple word that i guess many is not respecting. thanks kadem allot for sharing the movie with us

I recommend you all to watch it...I would be glad to lend it to any1 of u guys.. Group: Medical Students Posts: 172 Member No.: 448 Joined: July 10, 2006	Hi there I've seen the movie few dayz ago and it was nice but as Aws said from the 1st scene I remembered The old movie Onegin and before I know it was based on a russian novel I thought it was based on the same novel Pride and the prejudice with some changes ? so am wondering have anyone else saw that the 2 movies are alike ?
