Do u think there should be some sort of an obligation? like marx for attendance, or quizes??? (like the way it used to be)

I really don't think so, coz if anyone enters a lecture without having the true will to enter, would eventually affects negatively on others.

But anyway, some think that we have to enter, whether we want to or not, coz it's better for us, and better for our future.

So, what do u think???

Well kathum I think instead of making them obligatory, there would be some quizzes to be announced on some dates....so we study every week for a certain subject and take the quiz in the lecture. That's first.

Second, I think we (students) need to help each other to inform each other of nice lectures and those ones we feel are beneficial and good to us..
like we post on the site about interesting lectures,
or topics spoken in them,
and some notes being said inside the lecture that the professor insisted on.

That would be useful...

In addition to the nice idea of having some interested in writing lectures to take part in that...so that everyone can feel the beneficial responsibility to write and attend what he likes to attend of lectures. ( only those who want to write )

Ofcourse it would be great if the college tries to make things better, like nice boards, the docor would use interesting tools to teach....but we try to make the use of what we have and what can be better.

Thanx and mmm hope that servers. unsure.gif

it wouldn't be right to oblige students to attend lectures. the right thing to do is to make students willingly want to attend because attending lectures is not anyone's goal, the goal is to make students attend lectures and make use of their attendance.

so I think the answer is simply make lectures more interesting and more useful.

best wishes

ofcourse no,
i mean it shouldn't be obligatory and if so it wouldn't be a lecture it would be just like a noisy class full of bored students biggrin.gif
but as nour said if lectures would be better or at least if professors would give the lectures in a nice exciting way i'm sure that more than 50% of students would attend them
ok, take care tongue.gif

People come on are you for real ???!!!??
Kademad am sure you know my impression about this ,
bottom line is , for those who don't want to be real doctors , there is absolutely no need to force them ,if they don't want to be good then BLOW em .
I think that instead of arguing about whether or not we should make the attendance obligatory , we need to figure out an effective way of filtering out the idiots , who will be a big disgrace for the name of the Future Iraqi Doctors ,
apparently our collage system doesn't seem to give a damm about who goes and who stays . but for those of you who care for the patients , we need to act .
apparently most of our mates are still living their height school lives , they don’t know what they are up to , ignoring the responsibility they need to face , until now they are unaware of how serious it is when you’re a medical student two steps away of becoming a responsible doctor .
if we managed to do nothing , at least we know what's wrong .

take care

Well . iceman .. i really apreciate your answer it's ok .. i don't support the obligatory system .... but instead .. we should do something for those who don't even go to a single lecture .. not by filtering them ..and not by considering them as a non doctor elements .. we just gotta deal with them nice .. and nwa3eehum that they should go to lectures ..(which are a good lectures for good prof. )
so that they'll be a good doctors and so . we gotta make our union do that ... do that kinda taw3ea ..
we shouldn't leave them .. cause if we leave them now .. they will not be effected .. they will afect alot of students too !

I believe we are big enough to understand what is good for our future and what is bad .
so no need for someone to force us to enter a lecture .
I guess all the matter is something from inside telling you that you should be a responsible person aiming to make a difference in this world and to be a bright doctor in the future rolleyes.gif
