This is an amazing story. I'm sure many other doctors have lots to tell about what they face in their years of experience.

You can shape such kind of articles in an 'observational' way. This could fall under the category of 'qualitative' research. I suggest you read about the methodology of such research, together with some published qualitative articles, so you can write such stories in a more-presentable and medically-acceptable pattern.
