Dear Friends,

I hope you're all doing very well and that you miss me as much as I miss you!

I invite you all to take part in this competition, sponsored by the Student Iraqi Medical Association, as part of their project Iraq Relief.
Iraq Relief, very briefly, is a project that aims to raise money that will be used to help Iraqi orphans, refugees, students and the healthcare system in Iraq.

Please see the competition advert below:

Iraq Relief, and the Student Iraqi Medical Association invite you to participate in their first essay writing competition
Open to healthcare students around the world, this competition aims to get people thinking about Iraqi healthcare; the challenges, the solutions and the prospects.
Competitors are invited to explore one of the following questions:
  1. How has healthcare been affected by the conflict in Iraq, and what does the future hold?
  2. What are the main healthcare issues facing Iraq, and what can be done about these?
  3. What are public perceptions of healthcare in Iraq and how can health awareness be increased?

The winner (as judged by a panel of healthcare professionals) will receive £100 in cash, and the entry will be considered for publication in PROSPECT- The journal of the Student Iraqi Medical Association.

Entries should be sent as attachments to iraqrelief@studentima.co.uk with the subject ESSAY COMPETITION by 5pm on June 1st.
Good luck! And we look forward to reading your entries
