Hi dears
our Dr IYAD EBRAHIM (neuromedecin) said that he always ask this question in practical exam in 6th year the question is:
how to classify headache?
the answer :
according to cronology which mean the onset to
1-acute:
common cause:
-subarchnoid and intracranial hge
-meningitis or encephalitis
-glaucoma,iritis
less common cause:
-seizure
-post lumber puncture
-hypertensive encephalitis
2-subacute:
-giant cell arteritis(temporal)
-intracranial mass(tumor,abscess,.....)
-trigemenal,glossopharyngeal,post herpetic neuralgia
-hypertention(including pheochromocytoma,use of MAO inhibitor,tyramine)
3-chronic
-migraine
-cluster and tention headach
-sinusitis
-cervical spine disease

even there is other classification including acute single episode and acute recurrent..
