Hi guyz,

I can't hear any sounds in the Internet explorer.
For example, I can't hear the sound of a Youtube clip, or even the sounds of clicking a link..

In other words, I can hear a song, the sounds of clicking an icon...etc i.e any sound other than the Internet Explorer

I'm hoping you'd help smile.gif

Hey there,

7ubi, you can try to click on internet options in the control panel, then choose advanced and from there , try to restore the default settings.

Hi
Try this

open registry editor by going to Start menu, Run, typing regedit and then Enter. After that, in the registry editor, walk yourself through the tree in the left pane, till you reach

My Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32

And then on the right pane, right click and click on New, select String value, enter "wavemapper" (without quots of course), ENTER, type "msacm32.drv", ENTER.

Close the editor. No need to restart.

Let us know what happens

Thanks for the replies,

Louay, I don't know what version I'm currently using biggrin.gif

Samer, already tried that, didn't work.

Bassam, I followed the path you described but there is already a string value with the name wavemapper. Here see for yourself:

Should I delete the existing file and create a new one with the exact same values ???

If not, any other ideas? Will re-installing fix it?

Thanks again all

I downloaded Internet Explorer 7 and when I tried to install it the Install Wizard didn't start because my Windows had to be validated bcmf/thmbdn.gif

Also, when I tried to install version 6 it says a newer version already exists. Setup cannot continue.

Ya3ni, at this time I have no internet browser at all !!!

Anyway if anyone could provide a link for Internet Explorer 7 or FireFox that'd be great smile.gif

Regards
