Dear friends,

I was updating my Kaspersky antivirus database through the Intenet and after completion of these updates the programme was blocked and my existent keys became blacklisted. I downloaded the Key posted by this forum which is supposed to work until 2010, but when I tried to use it through the programme, a message appeared saying that this key is not valid. When I tried to add the key directly to the registry a message appeared stating that I can not import registry values except from inside the registray.
I forget to add that my Antivirus is version 7, and my OS is XP SP2.
So can anyone help me with this problem, I will be very grateful.

Yours Yasir

Dear doctor

I know exactly what you are talking about and it is very annoying coz from time time you need to look for a new Kaspersky AntiVirus key... that's why I started to use AVG antivirus which does not need such key biggrin.gif

A small tip that could help you... try to uninstall Kaspersky completely and then re-install it using the new key you have but without being connected to the internet... sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...

Regards

dear doctor smile.gif

try deleting the old key before applying the new one. go to kaspersky settings, then "service", choose the blacklisted key and delete it then apply the new key.

hope this solves the problem smile.gif

Mny thanks dear friends, I will do as you adviced, I hope it works.
By the way before Kaspersky I used to use Avast Antivirus, it was awesome, free, very easy to update and can catch most viruses and trojans.
I think I will roll back to it if Kaspersky remined locked.
Best regards.
