Why don't we all share writing the lectures?

ON THE CONTRARY OF HAMOODI I TOTTALY AGREE WITH NUMAN ,BECAUSE HE IS SAYING FACTS THAT WE ARE FEELING IT ........BUT I SUGGEST THAT THE LECTURES WILL BE WRITTEN EVERY WEEK BY A CERTAIN GROUP THAT CHANGE WEEKLY SO THAT THE WHOLE GRADE PARTICIPATE IN THE ATTENDING AND WRITTING .SO WHAT DO U THINK ABOUT THAT?

THIS IS A VERY GOOD IDEA FOR ALL STUDENTS (OR MOST) TO WRITE ... I MEAN LECTURES WRITING SHOULD NOT BE THE JOB OF ONLY CERTAIN GROUP OF PPL ...

LECTURES SHOULD NEVER BE OBLIGATORY .. BUT IN THIS SITE AND AS FRIENDS WE ARE TRYING TO BRING THE IMPORTANCE OF ATTENDANCE .. IT'S WHAT BETTER DOCTORS SEEK - I MASELF ALMOST NEVER ENTERED A SINGLE LECTURE LAST YEAR - BUT I KNOW IT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER IF I DID ... EVEN A SINGLE INFO FROM TE DOCTOR IN THE LECTURE COULD ACCUMULATE AND MAKE SOMETHING.

YET ..SOME LECTURES ARE VERY UN-USEFUL ..BORING .. AND MAKE US SLEEP ..SO WE HAVE THE RIGHT NOT TO ATTEND THEM TO SAVE OUR ENERGY FOR THE HOSPITAL AND OTHER LECTURES.

BOOKS READING MUST BE AT LEAST A SMALL STEP FOR US TO TRY TO MAKE ... WE WILL SEE SOME DIFFERENT , AND GET USED TO THE PROPER READING ( BUT ONLY IF THE DOCTOR DIDNT GIVE US PAPERS AND FORCED US TO READ A PART OF SOME BOOK SO THAT WE WILL ALL BE EQUAL TO EACH OTHER ) .... THE RESPONSIBILITY IN READING PAPERS IN THE DOCTORS' , AS THEY GIVE US READY PAPERS TO READ .

I GUESS WE ALL ATTEND LECTURES AT FIRST ... THEN WITH DAYS WE IGNORE THEM ...SO LETS MAKE IT A STEADY ROUTINE ... NOT SO HUGE IN THE BEGIINNIG THEN REDUCE IT , BUT RATHER MEDIUM AND STEADY .

the perfect situation is :
1- NON-BORING LECTURES , USEFUL , SMART-TO-TEACH DOCTORS , AND IMPORTANT INFO.
2- SUITABLE TIME FOR REST BETWEEN LECTURES AND HOSPITAL.
3- MODERN TEACHING METHODS.
4- ONLY STUDENTS WHO WANT TO ENTER AND GET BENIFIT ARE IN.
5- THE DOCTOR TELLS US WHAT TO READ IN THE BOOK , AND INCLUDE IT IN EXAMS.
6- AIR CONDITIONER ... AND WONT MIND SOME SOFT DRINKS

Hi,

Why would it be a silly idea Ali??? On contrary I find it very useful..Sometimes I feel I need to write to be responsible too to what I read, not only feel dependant on people and other students.

I think this is a good idea, and I agree with all Gayath suggestions, but I don't think they all can be true.

Those who need to enter lectures, need to do that willingly...and the thing is that others should encourage, or at least we here who would like to attend lectures need to encourage each others at times we feel our friends or surrounding people are not encouraging us. At the same time, some of us need time to rest or have other interests like going to hospitals or any...if they feel a benefit can be achieved more in that lecture time.

I think it would be good idea if we put here in this site post of interesting lectures or at least lectures we attended that day....We can put like signs of important or interesting lecture, and if any of us didn't attend a lecture or was busy with something else....we can see what intersting lectures are being given, and who interesting doctors are giving them....so we can attend the lectures and benefit or share the benefit all of us in return.

In addition...I strongly support the lecture writing thing. Actually this is being implemented in Jordan University, I saw lectures there being devided on people even, certain groups and people intersted in writing, and all share responsibility of lecture writing.

Ali, it’s a good idea to make all participate in writing lectures but I don’t think there are many willing to do that, I did ask some students if they want to write lectures but they weren’t willing. Anyway, we will be needing new good students to write lectures this year. I think all those who want to write lectures will be given the opportunity to do that.

I agree with most of Gayatha and Nour have said and I strongly support studying in books but let’s be realistic, switching to books won’t happen unless our college bring new books and since this is very unlikely so I suggest we try to improve the lectures that we photocopy. As you know we had a problem last year which is that some lectures’ writers didn’t even attend the lecture that they would write! This year I hope we can solve such problems.

I think that many would love to participate, but can they? it's not an easy thing to do, writing a lecture.
Maybe we don't let the same people who used to write without attending write again? and if they do, others who attend, should help them, but I don't think many would do so, selfishness is there, and perhaps sense of competition too.

well ALI that' s a really good idea that u mentioned about making groups change weekly to write lectures , i think it'll make us more interested and and at least follow up the subjects so that we know what is being givin to us coz some or most of the students don't even no what is being givin inthese lectures or which professors r even giving them , and only depend on what they get from photocopy .
so we can arrange such thing in this coming year at least between students who find themselves capable of writing lectures ,
and for GHAYATH u really mentioned some points that made collage so perfect
let's try to achieve some of them my friend !!! specially that one of giving us a break between hospital course and lecture , it'll really help most of us

its a nice idea ,but me as many others use the lectures as the main source in reading so we shouldnt give the responsibility 2 anyone(am not saying that who write now is perfect but at least have experince)
