WELL DR.HUSAM,
FOR ME DURING COURSE I TRIED TO FINISH THE SUBEJECT'S LECTURES, AND THE WEEK BEFORE THE EXAM FOCUS ON THE INFORMATIONS CONSIDERING THE CASES AVAILABLE IN THE DEPARTMENT , FOR PEDO. (MA7CHOBEYAT )ARE VERY ESSENTIAL ESPECIALLY IF U ARE IN THE FOURTH SECTION.

THE SLIDES ARE GONNA BE COMPLETLY IRRELIVANT FOR THE ONES U SEE DURING COURSE, BUT THE HISTORY THAT IS GIVEN WITH THE SLIDES MAKE IT SO EASY , ESPECIALLY IF U HAVE READ THE LECTURES.

WELL FOR THE BOOK THAT SHOULD BE USED FOR THE FINAL EXAM, THERE IS A WIDE RANGE OF VARIETY, SOME READ ONLY LECTURES , SOME READ THE BOOKS THAT IS CONSIDERED BY OUR COLLEGE LIKE DAVIDSON AND SHORT PRACTISE AND SUCH, SOME READ THE BOOKS THAT ARE CONSIDERED FOR THE NATIONAL EXAMS THEY HOPE TO APPLY AFTER GRADUATION, LIKE BLUE PRINTS AND TORINTO NOTES.....

I HOPE I MADE IT CLEAR FOR U .
DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK.

AND GOOD LUCK.

ALI

We are so glad to offer any help for you Huasm and for everybody smile.gif and Ali already did well wink.gif

I want to add few things...
I've started my courses last year with Pediatrics just like you Husam and here is what I did...

I've started by reading lectures in an order that kept coping with the cases arround me... I was in the 1st Unit so the cases were mostly Gastoreneritis and dehydration, DM, and Nephrotic Syndrome so I gave a priority for those subjects and I started reading the relevant lectures for them and then started to read the remaining subjects accordingly to fill all the gaps... Of course the clinical skills shall be gained by practicing it and presenting casesas much as you can

Try to:
-Start reading the basic lectures which you gonna be asked about all the time and by all examiners ((Vaccination, Growth & Development, Gastoeneritis(Diarrhea) & Dehydration, Feeding)) they were 10 lectures wink.gif, normal values are so importnat in everything (BR, PR, temp., blood and plasma tests..etc.).

-Choose the lectures relevant to cases found in the UNIT where you are attending your course.

-Arrange the remaining lectures according to your needs and what you feel more important than others.

-Besides lectures you can read clinical notes collections which are found at the Photo copy shops (Ma7jobiyat and others), and you won't need books that much as far as I'm concerned bcmf/secret.gif biggrin.gif

I was given a good advice and I want to pass it for you all... Present cases as much as you can and finish your lectures before the end of the course... Try to stick to it more than I did biggrin.gif

Feel free to ask for anything you like bcmf/60.gif and Good luck bcmf/thmbup.gif

Yes you need to memorize it... is veru important

And the mark of the course is out od 20 collected as follows: 8 marks for the course exam=ark...so make sure to attend the course), 8 marks for slides exam, and 4 marks for attendance...

Best wishes bcmf/60.gif

Hi Sarah smile.gif

Here is the topic in which we had posted our slides exams previously... I think that the 4 sets found there can give a good idea about what to concentrate on and what to expect in your slides exam...

Good Luck for you Sarah and for all bcmf/thmbup.gif
