In this year(or should I say -in the last year-),I enter only 2 lectures, &in both I didn't have any benfit...
In all my years in the college I may only have benfit from entering lectures of very small no. of doctors e.g.Dr.Hassen Al_Ruba3y(Allah yer7mah)&Dr. Abd Al-Ridda Al-3basy..
Because both give the lecture as a story not reading the slides as some of doctors do.
For me.. learning is :when u read or hear something that u"ll never forget even if u never return to it.
what do u think ;are u having benfit of entering or even reading some lectures???

hi violet & every1

i began 2 attend lectures when i was in the 5th year ... & before that i used 2 attend only a really few 1s

after seein its benefits ... i was so regretful that i missed them in the years before ... coz believe me ... till now ... i can remember each word the professor mentioned ! ... which helped me in a better understandin & learnin ... especially when u know that this professor went through many situations which added 2 his own knowledge ... 2 b transfered 2 us in wise words smile.gif

u know ... in the 6th year ... i had a plan 2 attend the Surgery & Medicine lectures of the 3rd & 4th years which i missed ...

hope this would b of benefit 2 all smile.gif

take care

Hi all smile.gif

For me I used to attend almost all the lectures at the start of each year to evaluate how useful to attend this lecture or that according to my considerations...

Then I decide to attend the lectures that I consider it imp. especially those given with good way of presentation and explanation...

We have to admit that every single lecture is beneficial to us to some extent so I think it is fair to choose the most beneficial ones to attend...

In few words: Don't attend all lectures and don't miss them all... make a selection

Well violet,

As I said before you can choose some lectures to attend according to the importance of the Subjects (majors: Med., Surg., G & O, Ped.) while the minors are of less importance and you can attend some of them for a change

and the Dr. giving the lecture (try to have an idea about the doctor's style and then decide)

Good luck

hi all,
from my point of view attending lectures can be useful if the presentation of the lec was good, so it depends on the dr and his/her way to present the lec to u, i hate the term sajaj on people attending lecs, u r a student and u suppose to attend all lecs, but u have a great apportunity in our college which let u select lecs u want to attend, i will never forgot dr.hasan alla yer7am lecs in physio, or dr na9eer in pharma, or dr zakaria in surgery..they were the best..by the way i select lecs to attend, i dont enter all lecs, and i evalute dr from their first lecs, if i like it then i would enter their lecs again if not then i'll forget about it,
today i attended one of the worst lecs in my life, all students were bcmf/sleep1.gif

so u decide, dont let other people decide for u, u may like what others dislike or vice versa..
