Spider-man 3, Entered History

This just in,

Spider-Man 3, which was released world-wide last week, has reportedly grossed about 148 million dollars in the opening weekend only in the USA !!!!
Reckoned as one of the most expensively-made movies of all time with a budget of $258 million, Spider-Man 3 became the most-grossing-in-its-first-weekend movie in the history even if we excluded the non-USA profits...
It was released on the 4th of May in the US, which means it made about $50 million per day only in the USA....

Globally, the profits were an estimated $373 million

From these figures I conclude two things:
-It's quite possible if not likely that it will exceed Titanic's profits at least in the USA-Box Office
-I'm going to watch it this week no matter what only if God forbids

That's it !! Hope there are some movie buffs around here who are gonna appreciate this topic !!!

p.s: however I can always count on Gayath as the other guaranteed movie buff

but i always had this persistant question !!!!!

WHEN THEY MAKE A BIG MOVIE .. AND THEY SAY IT MADE LIKE 100 MILLION $ ON THE FIRST WEEK .. DO THEY SUBTRACT THE COST ?

i mean if it costs 50 million $ and it made 30 miliions profit .. it means the production company LOST !!!! unless they count pure profit ..

IN THAT CASE AN ONLY ONE MILLION BUDGET MOVIE MAKING 50 MILLION $ (PURE 49$) ... IS BETTER AND MORE PROFITABLE THAN A MOVIE WITH 150 MILLION $ BUDGET MAKING 155 MILLION $ PROFIT (PURE 5 MILLIONS ONLY)
.. yet the second one is more popular

although the film budget is very hugh .. i'll buy the dvd for just 2$

I saw the movie in cham cinema.. it is a great movie with lots of visual effects and the sound was great especially if you watch in cinema.
My comment is ..the movie is comic based... you know what I mean some parts were just silly :/ especially when you have those two guys sitting by you making amusing coments ,and the crowd clap for every bravery part
