Hi to you all my friends.....

First of all thanks a lot for the questions of the PSYCHIATRY exam and I wish you all the best in your exam(( inshallah FULL bcmf/thmbup.gif ))....

According to your reqeust fr writing ENT questions I would like to say .....
Try to keep in your mind all the possibilities of the exam I mean don't expect only one type of exams As we have done.....We was told that the ENT exam should be oral and very simple including the instruments used by the ENTist and how to use them....

But the exam was written and not orall and it was of 5 questions as follow:

1. Draw the view of laryngopharynx as it is seen by indirect laryngoscopy, and label its structures.
2. Enumerate the types of endoscopes and mention the aims of using them.
3. Define briefly: a) Myringotomy b)Post cricoid region c)
4. Enumerate the indications of using Siegle's speculum.
5. Describe in orderly arranged steps how to deal with a patient having severe Stridor.

I'm sorry that remember the 3rd definition sad.gif but I'll ask for it and write it down for you ..... I almost forgot to tell you that we were 2 groups (7,8) and those were our questions(Gr. 7) so I'll try to get you the other side of the coin ((Gr.8's questions))

Yours,
Navigator

well done, thanx for sharing buddy bcmf/thmbup.gif

I just wanted to add that I heard that the answer to the first question requires drawing on the paper upside down since this is how the laryngopharynx would appear by indirect laryngoscopy.

wish you did well in your exam (inshalla full mark wink.gif)

Thanks a lot and don't mention it Kadhum it's a pleasure to me that I can help somebody.. tongue.gif

As a continuation to my previous post th 3rd defintion was c)nasal septum.
While the questions of Gr.8 were:

1. Draw a view for th left Tympanic membrane and show the right tympanic membrane perforation (( you have to draw twice bcmf/cry.gif ))

2. What is Atic ? Why does its perforation so dangerous?

3. Define: a)Valeculae b)Pyriform Sinus c)Adenoid

4. Types of endoscopes(( same question for us))

5. Management of Epistaxis.

I think that's all and forgive me for possible mistakes

Hi Kadhum,

As the questions look so easy and you can answer them completely yet the marks were so unexpected and disappointing to us.

You can say that we were deceived as we were told the exam is going to be oral then it was written and then the marks was so unfair.

So be careful in the future.

Hi ..
its very true that marks are not expected like Navigator said ..

HERE GOES OUR QUESTIONS :
1- Draw the nasal septum
2- define fistula test ..what does a +ve result indicate
3- what are the parts of pharynx seen by the laryngeal mirror
4- what are the sources of assessment of the post. nasal space .... and what are the parts of the naso-pharynx
5- what is tracheostomy ... mention the non-obstructive indications for it .

the good thing is that the results appear the next day ..

bye for now friends bcmf/dj.gif
