i thought to start a topic on living memory of that Great Actor .. and for more than a hundred years is the ONLY world wide known ARABIC Holly-wood Actor ..

He's notorious for such deeds.

About 2 weeks ago he was forced to pay a something US dollars fine for verbally assaulting a police officer after stopping him for speeding. That was in New York I recall..

BTW Gayath I salute you for starting this thread and I promise I will make a cool collection of celebrities trivia and post it here..

At last, I won't to mention something very important about Omar-Sharif that Gayath didn't mention. He was nominated for the Oscar in the Best Supporting Actor for his role as Sherif Ali in the his career's milestone, the masterpiece Lawrence of Arabia. The 6th greatest film of all-time in the American Film Institute list.

Also he won two Golden Globes, first as a Best Supporting Actor for Lawrence of Arabia and once again as a best actor in a leading role for his role in Dr.Zhivago.
