Dear everyone,
Hello...

Have you ever realized you are reading sth you didn't understand? A syndrome? and investigation? a cause for a specific procedure rather than other?

Do you dig to learn the real reason? or you just try to memorize and go ahead wit it...

Now....the answers to all might vary from sometimes, yes, no, when I have the time , mood....

But...I would like to ask you kindly to share with us here those things you learn from a medical student, professor, tv, net, and whatever you try to dig for after reading sth you didn't understand. unsure.gif I will start from my trial today to learn in Lcec 6 Medicine by Dr.Sarmad Al Fahad.

In investigations it says ESR...
Why??
Because ESR increases in brain abscesses( as well as leukocytosis), and brain abscesses are caused mostly by strept, bacteroids, staph. and more in HIV + patients, and it is accompanied by epilepsy as a clinical feature of the brain abscess.

So I think ESR increasing sometimes could diagnose a brain abscess as a cause for epilepsy.

Take care..
Nour.
