رقم قياسي: أقل من 22 أسبوعا في رحم أمها




يتوقع أن تغادر طفلة أميركية قد تكون أمضت أقصر فترة زمنية في رحم أمها المستشفى التي ولدت فيه في مدينة ميامي.

ويُعتقد أن الطفلة أميلا تايلور هي الأولى في السجلات التي نجت بعد فترة حمل تقل عن 23 أسبوعا.

وكان وزنها مجرد 284 غراما يوم ولدت في 24 أكتوبر / تشرين الأول من العام الماضي.

ويعتبر الأطباء بشكل عام أن الأطفال الذين يقل وزنهم عن 400 غرام يوم الولادة لا يمكنهم العيش.

وبالنسبة لوالدي أميليا والأطباء في المستشفى الذي شهد ولادتها، ما حدث ليس اقل من معجزة، فيوم ولادتها لم تكن أطول من قلم.

وقد أمضت أقل من 22 أسبوعا في رحم أمها، وهو رقم قياسي عالمي وفق ما تقوله جامعة أيوا التي تحافظ على سجل للأطفال المولدين قبل الأوان في كافة أنحاء العالم.

وكانت آمال الأطباء بنجاتها ضئيلة جدا، لكنها تمكنت من النجاة وأظهرت رغبة في الحياة.

كما تعتبر نجاتها نتيجة أيضا للتقدم الكبير الذي حدث في الأعوام الأخيرة في المجال الطبي.

وتتجه أميليا يوم الثلاثاء إلى بيتها بعد ما قارب الأربعة أشهر في قسم العناية الفائقة في المستشفى.

وقالت أم الطفلة إن أسوأ ما في الأمر أنها لم تتمكن من أن تحمل الطفلة في يديها لما يزيد عن ستة أسابيع بعد أن ولدت.

ويقول الأطباء إنه يتعين مراقبة أميليا باستمرار لأنها بحاجة إلى عناية طبية كبيرة وأوكسيجين إضافي في الأشهر القادمة، إذ أن وزنها يقل عن كيلوغرامين.

and yes i watched the news on tv and i was shocked by seeing this amazing event and how tiny is she,bas sob7an allah it's really a mircle that she could survive till now despite the extreme risks she is been through..

as you are doctors....why do u think this infant can not life cuz she is less than 22 wks of age???
i just read it in embryo........
so i am not smarter than you but i wanted to share this with you...
what do u think?it is easy but we need tdo refresh our memory from time to time...
i will put the answer (from the book of embryo) after 3 days according to the rules of the forum...

Well dictoora .. I think it is related to the lung prematurity as the respiratory system is one of the delayed systems to be matured inside the uterus .. that's why premature infants require an advanced respiratory resuscitation center.. right ?? may be in addition to the immunity prematurity too .. which renders the fetus susceptible to infections ... ..

Really veeeeeeeeeeeeeery sorry to be late in answering... but i forgot ,,,and when i remembered again, i forgot where the subject is ...
anyhow..
from the embryological point of view:
the four stages of lung development are:
Glandular: 5-17 weeks...where the lung tissue is only glands and not connected to the bronchial system
Canalicular: 13-25 weeks...where bronchiols begin to form but still not connected to the bronchial system
Terminal sac: 24 weeks till birth where typeI and II pneumocytes are formed and repiration is possible

as this fetus is in the canalicular stage, he/she is less likely to have a fully developed respiratory system and so he/she can not breath
