Hi my friends,

I have this friend of mine who owns a NOKIA 6260 (Apachi) and want to buy a new one (most probably an up-to-date NOKIA)..

The problem is that my friend wants to keep the inbox messages in the Apachi and transfer to the new mobile without losing them because they carry a lot of 'memories' bcmf/whistling.gif

So I'm wondering if there's a program that can carry out the TRANSFER process from the old mobile to the new one (wether it's a Nokia or another model) ?
The Nokia PC Suit maybe bcmf/thinking.gif ???

You have to know that they are about 800 messages and that can't be done by copying each one to NOTES as text documents cuz obviuosly that would take ages

Looking forward to any suggestion smile.gif

The best and easiest way is to copy the folder
X:\System\Mail
into a buffer place (like on computer) and then replace it in the new phone.

X is either C if he'd been using the internal memory as the storage place for sms's, and it's E if he'd been using the memory card.

I guess he'd been using the memory card, so the best way to carry out this procedure is to use a memory card reader.

Btw, This can only happen if the new mobile is a smart phone (Symbian).

Yes he can do that smile.gif .. by using oxygen phone manager .. Well to be honest with you i am not sure if he can transfer them to his new mobile .. but i am sure that he can copy them to his PC .. fair enough may be since it will hold his memories for him...smile.gif .. but still i think it is possible to be copied into the new mobile...

Hi Docotrs...

I would like to add something else for what you've suggested...He can use Message Saver which is an sis program that can be installed on the 6260 and then he can save all of his messages as doc file and send them to his PC or his new mobile and save it as Note

Attached File ( Number of downloads: 31 )
Attached File  MsgSaver_v1.14cracked.sis

Thank you very much guys for suggesting many alternative methods bcmf/clap.gif

Unfortunately, my friend has been saving the messages on the phone memory not the memory card...Moreover the cable is lost sad.gif ....

So is there any way the messages can be transferred from the phone memory to memory card without using the cable???

Thanks smile.gif

i have a 6630 nokia phone which is now broke,it doesn't accept any sim card
so i changed it by nokia N70 ,and now i want to transfer the messages from the first one to the 2nd one putting in the mind that the bluetooth of the first is not working in the offline mode dry.gif
i don't think there is a soluion to this problem but i posted anyway hoping there is a way out.
