hi trigraders smile.gif

here's what u should do, buy the new macleod's clinical examination and study chapter 1, skip chapter 2 and study the "history" for each system (cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, urinary, locomotor and nervous systems). frankly the locomotor is not very important in 3rd nor in 4th grade. so study the 1st pages of these chapters (the history taking, or in other words the symptoms of each system).

that's what u should do in 3rd grade, plus there r tables in macleod's for the causes of symptoms and signs, these r also important (e.g. causes of enlarged spleen)

and start practicing taking history

hope that's useful.

If you master taking Hx in 3rd year, it will be super easier for you on the following years...

you're welcome M7md and Safa, and happy eid smile.gif

but listen there's no need to buy any other book for practical medicine, macleod's is more than enough.

but u know, i'll tell u what i now wish someone had told me when i was in 3rd grade. u'll be studying medicine and surgery this year, and these are very important subjects, i think it would be great if u buy both davidson's medicine and baley and love short practice of surgery and whatever topic u take in the lectures, study it in these books (i mean study both the lecture and the book). i know it may seem like a lot of studying but it's not and in fact in some topics u'll see that the book is actually more brief and more organized. if u do this and continue with that in 4th and 5th grades, u'll find it very rewarding in 6th grade.

lol Safa, seems the "love" word confused u tongue.gif . ok here's the name again, "Bailey and Love's short practice of surgery". Love is the name of the author. smile.gif. u'll get this book from college but it's old and badly photocopied so it's much better if u buy a new one and of course make sure you're getting the latest edition.

take care smile.gif
