Bangladeshi economist Muhammad Yunus and his Grameen Bank won the Nobel Peace Prize on Friday for their pioneering use of tiny, seemingly insignificant loans - microcredit - to lift millions out of poverty.
This man gave small loans to millions of people whom were so simple and what they need was so simple too ......all what they need is to buy a cow or a few chickens they desperately needed to get ahead. Yunus, 65, is the first Noble Prize winner from Bangladesh, a poverty-stricken nation of about 141 million people located on the Bay on Bengal. In the last years, the bank says it has lent $5.72 billion to more than six million Bangladeshis. can u imagine the number 6,000,000 depend on this man and each one didnt need more than 200$ as an average to correct his situations  |
