hi..

we all take clinical courses. what are the things you would observe in a clinical session??

You may put them in steps and see how every medical student think?

Stay safe... bcmf/60.gif

hi Nour smile.gif , nice topic. I'm having pediatrics and here's what i do:

i usually take 1 long case (i.e. i take full history and do the physical examination and then look at the investigations and other things written in the patient's file)

then usually the senior doctor discuss 1 or more cases with us. after that i usually have about 1 free hour that i make use of by touring patients in other wards with a friend, here i don't take full history, just the name, age, cheif complaint and present illness and i decide what other necessary questions then comes the physical exam. that's it.

i don't do these things everyday but it's the usual.

well well..for me..simply..the more clinical the sessions ..the best they r...I don't like studying or side rooms sessions..I don't like discussing a single long case for a whole hour or even more... i like short cases with more interactions with patient and more scanning to different topics within a single period of time..that's why i love the outpatient clinics..for the minor courses of course..or the fast tours of doctors in the inpatients halls..

for the interaction with doctors ..i love when doctors keep asking us..keeping us alert ..of course some doctors , the so-called malignant ones bcmf/evil.gif - make it annoying when just ask to make u wrong ..though sometimes it helps ..but i don't like it that much..

one more thing which i haven't tried yet...I think a preplanned session can be very interesting and useful..i mean like telling the seniors that we -as a group - have studied such and such...and would like to see the relevant cases and things..i wonder if they will agree..!!

that's it .. so when will we have our sessions ready Nour..tongue.gif ?
