well well..though ur topic was somehow mentioned indirectly before..but i like its being simple and direct here..."what will u do after graduation?"

for me..yes i have been thinking of that alot ..and i kinda reached a conclusion..u can't simply plan here..thinks are very much variable..though as they say u must plan for the worse ..but even that is variable and can be subjective sad.gif ...for me if things remain like they r now..i think i will finish my rotation and residency here .. then will think of having a higher degree ... and according to my circumstances then ... I will see where and how will I have it...

not much plans .. but again i repeat things and conditions change alot .. try asking me a month from now and let's see...

salam...smile.gif..and thanx for the topic...smile.gif

hi,
i'm in istanbul now,
having my degree in three years,
preparing the usmle,
going and struggling in canada or us!
if i have a chance i'd like to be a cardiologist,
if not i'd like to work in the united nations or doctors without borders,
die before getting 50 years old!
but who knows where the road will lead us?

hamoodi

ps:
bone collector, do you want to be a just a doctor or a good one?
the first is easy to be and no need for exceptional thing to do!
the later, need you to give up!
never give up!
when you get 50years old,
tryin to compare yourself with an american 50years old good doctor,
you will find the diffrence not as you think about right now,
you were a doctor with a degree 26years before and you did it 22years before,
his income is around one million dolar and yours is around 600 thousands per year,
he goes to medical confrences according to his academic level and you would do it also,
i have much more to say, i'm assuming that you won't give up!
would you?

Dear bone collector,
I strongly beleive what you have mentioned is not completely accurate....
I think it is easier to continue your aigher medical study after taking the USMLE or the PLAB.....
From personal experience (family and friends) these exams aren't so much difficult and for Iraqi it is getting the VISA which is the hardest part of the whole process rather than the academic or the scientific part.....
check this out PLAB
It may help you....
