hello ppl....

some of u may have faced a problem during the istallation of WMP11 when it says ur win. version is not a genuine one and then installaion will b ended..!!..

to overcome this:-

-extract the installation files..(rt. click on the installatioin file>>>extract to...)
-open the folder where the files have been extracted...u will find 3 files with icons like an empty window..
-run the file named "wmp11.exe"....then RESTART.
-run the file named "wmfdist11.exe"...
-run the file named "wmdbexport.exe"...u may notice that nothing will happen when u run this file!!! but it's ok...
-now,again,run the file "wmp11.exe".... enjoy the windows media player 11 o 5alli BILL GATES e6u5 rasa bil 7aye6.. bcmf/thmbup.gif

Thanks alot sarmood bcmf/60.gif

I tried this other way, which works perfectly as I just finished it:
  1. Download Windows Media Player 11.0 (make sure its the final and latest version, not beta) from the Microsoft Site. Alternatively, you can download the installer file directly from here. Remember you can’t install Windows Media Player 11.0 if service pack 2.0 is not installed in your operating system.
  2. Extract the downloaded Windows Media Player setup file (wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu.exe) using WinRAR to a directory (wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu). Now make sure you have a “LegitLibM.dll” file in the extracted “wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu” folder.
  3. Download the patched LegitLibM.dll and then copy-paste it to the “wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu” folder and click yes when asked to overwrite.
  4. Now run “setup_wm.exe” file in the “wmp11-windowsxp-x86-enu” folder.

A variation in step 3 is that u may not find LegitLibM.dll, instead u'll find Legitlib.dll, so just rename the new LegitLibM.dll to Legitlib.dll and replace the old file.

WMP11 ROCKS!

Thanks again sarmoodi bcmf/60.gif
