Plot:
While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon ('Tom Hanks') receives an urgent late-night phone call: the elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum. Near the body, police have found a baffling cipher. Solving the enigmatic riddle, Langdon is stunned to discover it leads to a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci - clues visible for all to see, and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter. Langdon joins forces with a gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou), and learns the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion - an actual secret society. In a breathless race through Paris, London and beyond, Langdon and Neveu match wits with a faceless powerbroker who appears to work for Opus Dei - a clandestine, Vatican-sanctioned Catholic organization believed to have long plotted to seize the Priory's secret. Unless Langdon and Neveu can decipher the labyrinthine puzzle in time, the Priory's secret - and a stunning historical truth - will be lost forever. Cast: Tom Hanks (Dr. Robert Langdon), Audrey Tautou (Agent Sophie Neveu), Jean Reno (Captain Bezu Fache), Ian McKellen (Sir Leigh Teabing), Alfred Molina (Bishop Aringarosa); other cast not announced yet. Genres: Drama, Thriller and Adaptation Based Upon: (2/14/05) This movie is, of course, based upon the popular mystery/suspense novel by Dan Brown. At one point, before the novel became quite that popular, the producer of the TV series "24" sought the rights to the novel to incorporate it into the show as the core of the third season's plot, but author Dan Brown completely rejected the concept, holding out for movie rights. A few months later, Sony paid Brown $6 million for just that. Yeah I heard it has some points that really challenge the way of thinking regarding many religious facts that have been taken for granted all those years.
But it's fictional after all... so it's ok to check it You're welcome dear friends, and about time; well it's easy, I just skip studying |

hi guys,
I've just finished watching "The Da Vinci Code". It's one outsanding film, it's simply exraordinary. I think it does contain some theories & ideas that desreve the controversey which has taken place worldwide concerning this movie. The movie supposes a number of ideas that stand against many religious facts which have been beleived by many religions for many years. In other words the movie proposes a new religion or 2 b more accurate a new version of the catholic religion with many new theories concerning the life & history of Jesus (Al Nabi 3eesa -3alayh Al Salam).I won't tell u anymore cuz I don't wanna spoil the movie. U've got 2 watch this one because Tom Hanks performance was very good & also it was pictured in Paris mostly & a little in UK. ***the most important thing is from where I got the movie (mo balla?) well I bought it from -ASHBILIA-(اشبيلية) which is a DVD-shop besides Alrowwad Ice Cream in AlMansoor. It is subtitled with Arabic & the sound & video quality is good except that it is a little dim.
