The weird thing about this movie is that it was released in 2005 !! Isn't it to soon to be aired on a non-subscription satellite channel ?

At any case, if it's going to be shown I must tell you it's a good one... Sweet, delightful, funny, and of course romantic .... BUT look, I mean all that in a mediocre way..I don't wanna disappoint you...

The thing is, EVERY and I literally mean EVERY female I know who have seen this movie loved the hell out of it !!! Maybe because of the guy Dermot Mulroney who's by they way the lead actor in My Best Friend's Wedding.
When I was at the cinema trying to watch it, most of the girls went so crazy about him that I had to have a tussle with some of them as they were talking sooo loudly about him !!!!

While most of the males who have watched it said it was OK but not special i.e unexceptional

I felt A BIT offended because you assumed that a typical guys movie is a one with guns, brutality and blood all over as if guys are not into sentimental, dramatic stuff !!!
I felt offended as a member of a group of people you had just strangely stereotyped and by this group I mean (males)

It's nearly the same case here: when you say something like your comment regarding guyz' favorite kinda movies, you make men look violence-oriented and that just makes me feel uncomfortable

to clear my side (AS I KNOW and which is not an assumption it's a conclusion )
if u ask a guy about his fav type of movie it will be either action or horror like ( God Father ,Saving private ryan , saw ,Mission impossible ...etc)

Just so you know if you ask the 6.5 billion people around the world about their favorite movie I bet at least two billion of them will say The Godfather It's not gender-related..And BTW it's a drama/gangster rather than an action movie

And I think you were right when you said you might got that misconception from your male friends.. It could be a coincidence..Cuz most of my friends are into dramatic or romantic like Beautiful Mind , Jerry Mguire, Notting Hill and others..
