Dear Colleagues,
I am now chairing the juniors doctors and trainees committee at Iraqi Medical association in the UK.
I have lobbied for the last few months here in the UK with my senior colleagues at IWA-UK, but we have no support from your college deanery. Your college staffs haven’t got the stamina to play this game hardly with British authorities there in Baghdad.
The source of this hurtful decision is the British council in Baghdad. I don't blame them, our system according to you first and according to there observation is rubbish. Iraqi doctors who recently want to train in the UK can't do that because their High Skilled Migrant Visa refused as consequences of this decision. Simply they can't get enough points.
I could sit here in the UK and say f*** off. I have my job and my family, and I am British citizen, why should I bother myself with those lazy people. BUT I WONT SAY THAT NEVER!!!
I am Iraqi and I am a graduate of this college and proud to be ... and instead of being passive we have to ask questions and encourage each other’s.
I know very well how depressing the situation is, but lets have some hope and lets have a dream ... All the thing we need is to improve our communication skills and show respect and speak loudly and to let those at the deanery hear our voices to act immediately and not ASAP, but immediately
Our college recognition is being threatened immensely by this decision and its up to you
Thank you
Mr Ali S Taghi
