WHY OUR BAGHDAD MEDICAL SCHOOL MBCHB HAS BEEN DOWNGRADED IN THE UK BY NARIC, ACADEMY OF ROYAL COLLEGES AND GMC IN THE UK FROM BACHELOR DEGREE IN MEDICINE AND SURGERY TO DIPLOMA ??!!

WHY OUR COLLEGE HASN'T GOT ANY GOOD SCIENTIFIC REPUTATION ANY MORE ?? ANY SMALL MEDICAL SCHOOL IN AFRICA IS BETTER THAN OURS

WHY OUR COLLEGE HASN'T GOT ANY WELL DEFINED CURRICULUM

WHY YOU FAILED TO LOBBY AND CHALANGE THE DECISION OF NARIC

because we are in Iraq

Really sad. Tragic actually

I mean this not only will effect individuals who are willing to specialize or work in the anglosphere but most importantly it will consequently deprive an entire country from developing its healthcare system.
I mean our national graduates (Iraqi Medical Schools graduates) won't be able to do their residencies and fellowships in the UK which means in the future we will have very limited numbers if world-class qualified doctors

What breaks my heart is that when I leaf through our student guide and check the names and degrees of our doctors, almost all of them has got at least an MRCP or an FRCS and I believe that won't be the case anymore

I hope I'll be proved wrong. We have many determined ambitious hard-working individuals who will not actively give up. We just have to wait for the passive stuff to improve, particularly our passport

because officials in our college think that just signing the papers they get in their office is doing their job. during my years in college and till I graduated there wasn't any single decision to improve anything in our college, the deanery are doing absolutely nothing. this is unacceptable

and I agree with you

They are passive, apathic and bloody lazy and don't take any intiatives

بالفعل هذا الموضوع كان لابد من طرحه
طب بغداد كانت رايه وعلم...وهسه اندثرت وفقدت مكانتهه
الاسباب في راي المتواضع تشمل الجميع
بدايه من السيد العميد وانتهاءا بكاتب هذي الكلمات
العماده غير حازمه ادت الى تسيب الاساتذه والطلاب
..الاساتذه غير مكترثين بمستقبل الجيل القادم
الاخصائين في المستشفى عدهم العياده الخاصه والمستشفى الخاص اهم من مسؤؤليه التدريس في مستشفانا التعليمي
اما احنه ..الجيل القادم..فالنادي والسنتر هوه مكان دوامنه...
اذا نجمع هذي الاسباب راح نحصل على نتايج مخيبه لامل
اتمنه ان ترجع طب بغداد لسابق عهدهه...ولو هذا الشي صعب جدا..

Thank you for your reply. It's easy believe me, all what we need is to work together and make our voices heard by those lazy at the deanery. Write a message and deliver it to the deanery and ministry of higher education and of course to the IMA-Iraq.

You have representative at Student's Union I assume, so act and use this forum to raise thisserious issue instead of talking about cars or new box office...
