hi all Dr.s,
we took in neuromedicine, a lecture named " Demyelinating Diseases", it was mentioned in the Clinical Features of ACUTE DISSEMINATED ENCEPHALOMYELITIS and ACUTE TRANSVERSE MYELITIS the following ( extensor planter responses are common ) , what's that??

also, what is ( paraparesis )?

actually paraparesis means weakness in the lower limbs only not all the limbs. and it's a motor weakness not a sensory loss.

and extensor planter reflex is when the big toe goes up (dorsi flexion) on stimulating the sole of the foot (babinski sign) which indicate upper motor neuron lesion.
