Hello Friends..

Radiology and X rays have always been a problem to me.. So i was wondering if any one of u guys could recommend a book for me, u know.. to teach me principles other than our college text (which is not working for me!!) .. Not that i wanna be a radiologist or anything, but I wanna learn the basics..

do u guys know what Edition of Oxford handbook of Clinical surgery is available in the markets now?? and is the 2007 Edition available or not?

i suggest u study in the book our college gave us, i think it's called armstrong, it's really good, i studied in it and u will have much better knowledge than what the stupid lectures can offer. some copies r better than others, so if ur book has bad quality photos, exchange it for a better 1.

as for the oxford handbook, don't know about the surgery but the new medicine oxford handbook has been in the market for some months, i got it, it's cool.

In the meantime ...CT scan and MRI are not so important
But X-ray is imp...

So there are couple of CDs available for X-ray intertrepetation which makes study fun and easy..you can find it in Alwisam ...I have one if u want...

Lectures are not so bad...If u do quick skimming (superficial not deep) after watching the Cds...It would be helpful...Leave the books

About Oxford ..sorry I do not know...

Don't go into the details of x-rays, you will probably not be asked about it during the exam, however knowledge of the basic interpretation of chest x rays is important, otherwise it will not fail you if you didn’t catch a linear fracture in hip x ray of even gas under diaphragm in erect abdomen x ray, many senior residents find it difficult to catch such things.
