hi all..how r u? today we had the exam of our course (rheumatology) and some of my friends asked me to write the questions so...
1-crystal arthritis has an acute onset of pain within 2-12 hours.T 2-reactive arthritis is commonly oligoarthritis.T 3-malar rash in SLE involves the nasolabial folds.F 4-viral arthritis mostly presents as inflammatory polyarthritis.T 5-erythema over a joint in RA means that there is sepsis in the joint.T 6-juevinile RA comes with asymptomatic anterior uvietis.T 7-knee joint is the commenest site for trauma and periarticular injuries.T 8-Ca and vit.D has no role in prevention of fractures in erderly people.F 9-mechanical pain is a constant pain and invariable with movement.F 10-fibrosing alveolitis presents in RA and not in SLE.F P.S. 1-these points are given to us in the exam according to what we take so u must depend on the talk of the doctor during the session. good luck to all of us....

They are 10 (t or f)s with a 1 for 1 penalty...
1- Anemia is a rare manifestation of active RA.
2- In patients with RA , positive rheumatoid factor at presentation is associated with poor prognosis.
3- In RA , DMARDS can be given singly or in combination.
4-In oligoarithritis , the patient with +ve ANA is at high risk of anterior uveitis.
5- In SLE errosive arithritis is a common feature.
6- In SLE hydroxychloroquine is effective for cutaneous involvement.
7- Dysphagia is rare is scleroderma.
8- There is an increased risk of malignancy in patients with dermatosynitis.
9- Conjuctivitis is a manifestation of behcet disease.
10- Inflammatory back pain is of gradual onset. ____________________________________________________________

well Tina ...no ... most of them was mentioned during sessions ...and we were told to study in Davidson specially the RA and SLE so that covered the ones not mentioned in sessions.... i didn't study Behcet's disease in Davidson and i missed two sessions so I am not sure about number 9 whether it was mentioned or not ...
in general the questions are about the cases presented through ur course...

they were all from RA & SLE coz the dr. told us 2 read only those ...
