I want everyone to understand that there is nothing personal here and the aim of writing this topic is to discuss the progress of our beloved forum...

I think that this discussion is somewhat late but I hope is not too late

I've nocticed within the last month that our forum has some problems that should be outlined and discussed briefly...

@ Many active members who used to participate before are no longer present for a reason or another which had an adverse effect on the level of the forum's performance (Some of them only see what is going on between each now and then while others never checked the forum although they have an internet access).

@ Many new members have ineffective participations (Some of them are aiming to add as more posts as they can per day) or good ones but not so organized (So they need the help of other members if not the Administrator & Moderator) because after all this forum belongs to all of us and not to certain members.

@ The forum is heading towards being an ordinary forum that can be found in hundreds on the web by any simple search, I mean this used to be unique at least for us but now it looks so ordinary

@ Most of the posts now is either in GALLERIES or FUN & JOKES and the majority of them is copied from the e-mails and pasted as they are...Most of the posts didn't add for us ( I've posted such topics so don't take it personally).

@ The topics are so many but not so good ( High qunatity with less quality) and there is no discussion about importnant topics rather than those associated with LOVE... Even in scientific topics, the topic starter puts the info. then few replies would say thanks for sharing and that's all.

I love this forum and all of its members and I do care about everything concernedwith that and that's why I've posted this topic to bring it t full discussion

First Of All I Wanna Thank U For This Important Topic..

I've been in Sulaimani for a year ((Isti9'afa)) .. in That year i didnt enter this forum for many reasons (( i gotta catch up my study , i gotta no internet access ...etc))...

NOW i return and the reasons are gone ....I can tell U that I found a big difference in forum's Topics, I mean in QUALITY and even in QUANTITY Navi.. A year Ago, When When I Joined This Lovely Forum There Was A Balance Between entertainment Section And Other Sections....

I Think Navi Mentioned All The Factors... But I getta say that the old members absence Or Less Activity play a major role in This DOWN period of this forum ......

dear navigator, thanks for presenting such disscusion, bc i think we really need it.

i think this is an important point, and it should be dealt with, may be bc of something happened to them here and was taken personally, or bc they see there is no replies to their posts or whatever, and this should be solved between the members with or without the help of the adminstater.

that is something belongs to people's interest, if love topics attract their attention i don't think this is a problem, we have to respect every member's interest. may be they find the scientific topics 'boring'!

there is another thing, i think if someone doesn't like any topic, plz just don't reply to it and spend this time replying a good topic, bc harsh replies will turn things worse and that is all..so see the topic if u like it then reply, if not then go back!!

i love our forum and i'm very proud of it and i want only the best for it..

Hello friends and hello dear ZAID ...
Its been a long time since I lastly posted something here and thats because I moved to another place where i have no easy source for Internet connection , still in the few i times i get online , the first site that i check is the BCMF ...
I really hope it gets better and better but i guess its the summer period and may be many have changed their residency thats why they are not like before , still i believe that those who are available are so good and everything will be fine inshalla ....

i'm totally agreeing with you that this forum is becoming like any ordinary forum by posting more pictures &jokes than other topics...you made me remember that old days when we think many times before posting any topic ...

i think those members could hold their membership or even enter the forum as guests &join other forums on the net that are full of fun topics BUT don't turn ours to alike forums PLEASE...
it's not about HOW MUCH you post/day...please think of howmuch your friends &other members will benefit from your topic before posting it..

i read all your replies .....but no one suggest a solution .

i think we have to make balance between health [ medical topics] and another sections of the forum ,in order not to forget the major aim of this great forum , i mean any one who want to post any topic in the sections of the forum have to post medical topic or open medical discussion too [ i find this suggestion too hard to take effect ]....but its just to urging you to find another suggestions and new solutions .

AND IF WE talk about old members we should excuse them may be they are busy or have many works to do in their life and alla yesaeed hom. we have to concetrate on active members and urging them to improve their policy.


About blood stone and KENZO i think both of you are right .... in spite of the defference in ideas .

i think the answer is simple, people who think the forum must be restored to sth it was before must start posting "good" stuff.

well i guess bloodstone will kill me for posting again!! of course what i'm talking about is my opinion, and i was a fan of bcmf before i began to participate in posting topics and replies bc i didn't have an internet access, and what i'm talking about interest is what i'm seeing, i started a couple of topics away from funand jokes and galleries and i found no interest, not only in replying bc i don't mind people replying me or not bc my point is to give a benefit for my friends, and if u see the (views) u will see 20-60 people had read the subject, while another subject which was about nothing the views were over 600, that is truely sad, and i was so upset, but it is ok bc u have to respect others interest, some people want to share their feelings, others r looking for advices, others for fun and so on, so afterall u can't run people's interest that was my point..

i have a suggestion, i hope kadhem would take a concern right here, i hope there is a part of the forum deals with the scientific topics and be as a competition last for a week, could be questions and answers about one subject for e.g. what do u know about something? or true or false or whatever, and not only scientific, it may include the general social inforamations, i think that won't be boring and everyone can participate..

Thanks for all members who replied (especially Bloodstone...your post on Happy Birthday BCMF encouraged me to bring such topic into discussion), that show how much all of you are concerned with such issue.

Let me quote these words...

So the Primary goal of this forum is clear by Kade's nice words which we all agree with as I assume... so other goals like entertainment and such stuffs would be of 2ndary importance.

There is no harm with entertainment, in fact it is needed for us but not to be the controlling aspect of this forum as it is now...

About people's inetrests... you can see that these interests are so respected here and that's why this forum has its various subdivisions... but again not not over flood the forum's base line.

About members not replying to topics that they don't like... you can notice that clearly by comparing views with replies no., I want to say that the large no. of such weak topics has damaged the forum's performance as if we where doing a haemodilution which is going to affect the whole system (body) of this forum not certain parts if you understand what I mean...

I see that most of us agreed that we have some kind of let's call it "Weak Performance" right now and it was really nice suggestions of posting scientific stuffs and non-scientific puzzles, Q & A and such things.

Another thing which could also be useful... while posting a topic it would be nice to enrich it with author's own data (whatever and wherever the subject was) that he/she can find regarding the subject he is going to post rather than copying/pasting blindly.

Of course the good, interesting, contraversial topics can be easily differentiated from other usual ones.

For members who stopped participating in the forum coz they feel that there is somthing wrong with it, I want to say "It would be better to face it and fix it rather than leaving the forum".

At last...I wanted to say this (( Before we used to know each other through this forum coz we have nothing to hide, we are doing nothing wrong... but now many members are afraid of giving their real names...)) We like to know each other better by exchanging thoughts coz we have a bond here coz we share a common thing "Baghdad College of Medicine"... this is can not be found in other forums

anyways,the forum is really in trouble and let's say it's passing through its dark ages,maybe it's becasue many of the active members are busy now with whatever theyare doing,let's we don't deny that we are living in a hard world
anyways,what i am trying to say is PLZ KEEP THE FUN TOPICS AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE IN THIS TIME AND START POSTING SERIOUS TOPICS, why we are ignoring the difficulties that the medical students are facing now?let's we disscuss the medical students problems,intersts,medical topics.
and i am asking yezen and kadem to take a better role in managing the forum,(i know guys you have your own problems and concerns to deal with,but when you first built this site,you promised to undertake its full responsibilty,so please refresh the forum again) .

Love topics in lounge forum is very natural coz Love take a large space in our life so I say again (why not ???)

members being interested more in the fun section is a reflection of the condition college in real is. meaning, many students in our college rarely attend lectures and can't wait to leave sessions and when we have courses everybody is taking 2-3 courses at a time to finish the courses as fast as possible. so u see, this is the true us, not serious and interested more in fun than serious stuff.

i like discussing stuff and it's true that we used to have some cool discussions here but this is still happening, just start a cool topic

telling members to not post or post few stuff in the fun section is not realistic, if u don't like fun stuff, don't check this section. if u want serious topics, start serious topics.
