This is true. I was told it really happened!
A car mechanic asks الأستاذ تحرير الكيلاني (a proctologist) if he remembers him from 3 years earlier when he had his haemorrhoides operated upon by him.
but تحرير الكيلاني apologises and tells him he can not remember him.
The man tries to remind him further and mentions that it is him who fixed his wife's car a few weeks after the operation but الكيلاني still can not remember the mechanic.
The Mechanic then says that his symptoms recurred and drops his pants down for الكيلاني to examine.
تحرير الكيلاني has one look at the area and straight away shouts "AHA! NOW I can remember you!"

I heard this myself directly from him.

It is the birthday of الأستاذ غازي حلمي (an Ophthalmologist) and the 5th year medical students collect money to buy him a present.
He opens the present and it is a beautiful painting of an eye in a framed picture.
After غازي حلمي stops laughing, he tells the puzzled students why he was laughing for the past 10 minutes. He says: "next week will be the birthday of الأستاذ كمال السامرائي (a Gynaecologist) and I was just imagining what you are going to give him as a present."

The SEXY one is meant for the car, not the driver. lol
I get people overtaking me after reading the number plate, then becoming totally disappointed when they see me.
Sexy in English speaking countries does not have the "rude" meaning that some non-English speaking people tend to think.
Sexy just means "cool" or "attractive" or "appealing" or "nice".

I am a member of BMW 1-series forum and I get frequently recognised by other forum members while driving. I get a hoot with a friendly wave from a BMW 1-Series driver once every 2 months on average.

Yes ali, I indeed went loopy and ticked all accessories boxes.
The List price ended up at £38350 (normal basic car price was £20750 at the time), but I had a big discount (being an Iraqi who would refuse buying anything without twisting the hand of the seller)
I could have afforded a new Porsche for the money at the time, but without any extras. And, with double the fuel consumption.
My car is 4.5 years old now and still going strong.
I am intending to keep it for another few years or until it starts showing problems and falling apart.
I do 30000 miles (50000 Km) every year.
Therefore, I need a good comfortable car with all the available options to keep me entertained.
If you calculate, then you will see that I normally spend 750 hours every year in the car. (Computer tells me that average speed had been 40mph)
You can work it out and you will find that I have already spent over 140 full days in the car.
How much extra would I pay for a more comfortable hotel room you stay for a total of 140 days?
And, some of the money will be back to me when I sell the car.
That is how I justify the money I was prepared to spend on the car.
I did not have any loan to buy the car at the time which is very unusual in this country.
Unlike Western mentalities, as an Iraqi, I think that if I do not have ALL the money for something I want, then I am unable to afford to buy it . As simple as this (But that principle does not apply to buying houses though)
I therefore like to think that it was money well spent.
Some may have a different opinion but I am happy with my justification.
