I wasn't participating here after the appearance of results...but today it reached a point with me so i decided to start a topic
...
2nd Term ? what does this word mean to u ? how would u deal with it ? how does it affect u ?
is there some points u can apply which can help u through this time??
i mean u r going to read subjects that u have learned well all over again??
doesn't that really make ur spirits fade of ????
well ...it certainly did with me ...ANYWAY
I would really like to hear ur opinions first...
& God prevent u all from 2nd term and its consequences...

by reducing my holiday 3 weeks .. a little less than that as it wont be a total loss

Honestly dear I have no such well-learned subject ... !
5- doesn't that really make ur spirits fade of ?
Nothing on earth can do that to me ... [kidding], but still it wont.

It shouldn't ... take it easy and read carefully ... read to learn this time (if u already did that then read to master wt u had learned) ...

I'll tell something about 2nd term as I was there a couple of times..one of which was last year with a very hard subject "medicine" and with a very poor sa3y ..

You really need to follow the "always look on the bright side of life" principle when u get a 2nd term ... sounds weird..but i've tried it.. just find wht is bothering u in that... is it the holiday u r going to lose(orr as hugie said partially )? is it the re-studying of something u've already studied? is it u feel like ashamed coz u didn't make it? just figure it out and deal with it...

now bright sides... do u know that most students who passes in the first term ..hardly pass ..and they've studied like half of the lectures which they will leave almost for ever..while u now have the chance and the motive to study everything well.. plus not much will u lose from holiday.. u got something to enjoy

She had anatomy (alla yesa3edha!), and incase your you was a pleural you I got physio ...

wella Huge ..honestly it wasn't a pleural you.. ( since u didn't seem to care ) ..but now since u said it..may be u need to know that both subjects u will still need and remember in the coming grades.. so ur study won't be in vain or just to pass ... ...

It honestly breaks my heart to see you talking this way, I just want to tell you my point...
Second term exam is not the end of the world, and u know whatt, if u feel this way then u should be proud, honestly, coz u r one of those who are "7are9een", and in this case this thing will only benefit u on the long run.

I know that our system (specially the evaluating one (exams) ) is a bad one, and in many times it's a just a matter of luck to pass or not.

I believe that you'll reach a day in which u say "Thank God I failed the first trial in second year", u know why? coz I believe you're one of those who learn from their mistakes -if ever- and will make sure that in the next years they'll do whatever needed to ensure passing, and passing well.

Keep in mind too that it's not just about passing till graduation, it's about learning till becoming a doctor

let me tell you this, In highschool I was just like you 7aree9, moreover I was even somehow 7u8na ! .. I was soo 7aree9 that I used to blame my self so much even for not getting a full mark! ... but you see, at the end what had I gained? what was the fruit of all of that? I never achieved my dream! i always wanted to be something else (something concerned with machines, computers, robots, ..... anything but medicine).
That really changed me and affected me so much that I became the Ali you know and expected very well!
Im not telling you Im happy with that, Im not used to it, moreover sometimes it hurts, it hurts way more than you can imagine .. but still whenever i remember the past I goes like: to h-ell with all of it just move on and on as its all destined for you no matter what you wanted or hardly woked for, so try just to BE!

but anatomy??? will we really need 2 remember it??

sure Mohammed.. specially in Surgery and Orthopaedics ...

orthopaedics??? isn't bone surgery..
but don't u think that we have studied Anatomy in a very detailed way..
& I think these detalis are not needed clinically ??? mo balla???
moreover our Drs. esmalla 3lehom don't mention alot of Clinical Correlates in Anatomy.....

well guys .. medical correlations don't have to be mentioned directly ..plus as u said Anatomy is a wide topic and doesn't need more to be added... but when u will take some of what u call medical correlations u will start to link things together..

I am not saying it is very very important and u r in trouble if u haven't memorize everything ..i just think that it could have been more helpful to me if i have learnt it more than i have done...
